Ethnohistorian, Researcher, Host
Matt Hiltermann is a Métis Interpreter, artisan, and ethnohistorian. As a descendant of the Pruden family (among others,) Matt has strong ties to the historic settlements of Edmonton, Fort Carlton, and Red River.
Matt has a background in Anthropology and International Indigenous Studies. He is currently working on hid Master's on Heritage Resource Management through Athabasca University.
Matt has worked for over a decade in the museum and heritage industry at sites like Heritage Park, Fort Edmonton Park, Lougheed House, and Fort Calgary (with a focus on Métis contributions to the history of southern and central Alberta.)
Currently, Matt works as the public Historian for Region 3 of the Métis Nation of Alberta.
